ONLINE FALL PROTECTION TRAINING COURSE

Course Description

ABCS has designed and developed this online Fall Protection course to provide you with the knowledge to help minimize fall hazards and protect yourself and others from serious injury. Upon successful completion, you shall be able to:

  • Explain the importance of fall protection
  • Identify fall protection systems and components
  • Complete fall protection calculations
  • Explain fall protection planning and procedures

Alberta legislation was used extensively in the development of this course as Alberta has some of the most rigorous legislative standards in Canada. CSA, ANSI, CEN and industry standards were also used. Although this course provides employers with a means of fulfilling their OH&S requirements, the course focuses on the safety of individuals working in the field.

Course Assessment

Testing conducted throughout this course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a credential card/certificate. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved on first attempt. Supplemental materials necessary to complete this course can be accessed online.
